About Adukrom

Our Families, Our Future. Let’s Build Together!

Adukrom or Adu’s town. History has it that the town came into existence because one man settled in this region to ply his trade as a traditional healer and seller of game. People flocked to Adu’s town and settled there following a skill and resources he possessed.

Fast forward many centuries to the year 2022 and visionaries such as Samuel Afari Dartey of Aqua Safari Resort and Safari Valley Resort and the late Mr. Adjei Mensah of Ridge Nest Hotel each found a way to attract people to the region plying their own trades in tourism.

The question to all who hail from Adukrom and whose families inhabit this town of roughly 10,000 is this: What trade, skill or resources do you have to further develop Adukrom? If you are a physician, Adu never went to medical school yet he made a difference in the lives of the town’s people and beyond. What do you have to add to what he did to make Adukrom better than it is now? What will you do to make her attract others in?

If one person cannot do it all, then we come together as a group, Adukroman Foundation, to move the town forward. We improve on education and particularly the town’s healthcare system because the founder Adu would be sorely disappointed we are now going outside Adukrom to get our healthcare when in his day he was the main healer that brought people in.

We, Adukroman provide our youth with the same entrepreneurial spirit to start businesses just like Adu the hunter. The goal of Adukroman Foundation is to go back to what the founder did. He never waited on foreigners to bring him aid. Yes, we accept foreign aid but our families are our responsibility. What we want Adukrom to become is our endeavor.

Adu plied his trade little by little until everyone knew he could heal others and his game was the best and the town grew. So do we at Adukroman Foundation. One person at a time, one cedi at a time, one drop of water make a mighty ocean, this is where we start like Adu. Welcome to Adukroman Foundation.
