Adukroman Foundation Ushers In A New Dawn Of Waste Management In Adukrom
On May 13th, 2023, Adukroman Foundation, in collaboration with the leaders and citizens of Adukrom, invites you to their cleanup day. The theme of the event is “Great Health Starts With A Clean Adukrom.”
This joyful gathering of community aims to bring Adukroman together to emphasize the importance of proper waste disposal in Adukrom. Litter will be collected and disposed of properly from gutters, the market, Akoawi Durbar grounds, the Methodist Church grounds and extending to the car station, Post Office, and Akosede.
The event will also serve as an opportunity to educate citizens about keeping Adukrom clean and free from trash in gutters and areas where standing water is present. These areas serve as excellent breeding grounds for mosquitoes, leading to an increase in malaria cases.
A clean Adukrom is a beautiful Adukrom, where trash that cannot be recycled into compost for farms and gardens is disposed of only in garbage receptacles.
The goal is to prevent the occurrence of diseases and illnesses, which incur substantial costs in terms of good health and money that could be used for increased well-being, such as enjoying a relaxing day at Safari Valley Resort right here in town. Adukrom will be a community that deeply cares about the aesthetics of the town, guards their reputation as vanguards of their environment and the nurtures the well-being of all its residents.
We, the people of Adukrom, are each other’s keepers. The beauty, culture, well-being, and prosperity of Adukrom are our responsibilities, not just the government’s. We live here.
Adukroman Foundation is leading this initiative to raise awareness of sanitary practices that promote beauty and good health in Adukrom. The Foundation’s goal is to extend its efforts and resources to Adukroman on that day, improving Adukrom and the lives of its citizens.
This will be a unique occasion featuring good music, camaraderie, and the presence of dignitaries such as the Adukromhene, Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio V, Omankrado Hemaa, Awo Pampim Ako Tettebea, and other important figures in the community, heralding Adukrom as the cleanest town on the Akuapem range for years to come.
